The deconstruction of the east wing of the Accountor Tower will begin on March 11, 2019. The deconstruction work will take place on weekdays from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, until May 24, 2019.

Work that causes disruptive noise will be stopped by 6:00 pm.

The deconstruction will be carried out, mostly, by pulverising, meaning that the concrete blocks will be cut up into 0–15 cm pieces. This will be carried out with an additional machine attached to a digger, which will allow the crushing of the concrete. In addition to this, a hydraulic hammer will also be used to, among other things, deconstruct the civil defence shelter.

Worksite traffic will be directed through the north gate, which is located on Keilaniementie, opposite the east entrance of the metro station. In addition to the

noise, the deconstruction may cause dust, which we will attempt to minimise by watering and keeping the passageways clean.

The section of the building being deconstructed contains only an employee swimming pool and gymnasium. In its place we plan to build residential buildings.
